The Fortune of Living by Imagining

 

 

Here we are, almost 20 years after our birth (19 to be exact, 19 years already!). And here we are, writing this small love letter, about a love that is collective, one that has been happening and mutating many times and, in many forms, according to the times, places, and people. A love that exists in the space of encounter, of gathering, which is between the stage and the audience. 19 years of an inexplicable, heterogeneous love that continues to grow and transform.

 

Over these years, we created shows, wrote essays, collaborated in magazines, supported processes, and dreamed. Yes, we dreamed so much and so loudly that our dreams came true. We experienced the joy of filling parks, theaters, and unconventional spaces in 32 countries around the world.

 

 

We also suffered the misfortune of seeing an empty theater, of being the filler show – that old idea of earning our place among the dinosaurs – and of performing under very poor conditions. We know what it means to work with the sun on our faces, that sun that "tans" us and invites us to age faster.

 

We felt the need to write these words for you, with the simple intention of saying thank you for every encounter and misunderstanding, for the thousands of hugs along this path, for your attentive gazes and your laughter, thank you.

 

 

We are the small company Frutillas Con Crema and we imagine life as a collective laugh.
